ALL-ON-4

All-On-4 Explanation: 

A fixed bridge is attached to dental implants – all in one visit. 

The initial step is a consultation, during this consultation, we will examine your mouth and take x-rays. A CT scan may also be required, to enable the dentist to ascertain your suitability for this treatment. 

Sometimes teeth need to be extracted before your implants are inserted, if this is needed it would be done on the same day as the implants.

On the day of surgery, if needed remaining teeth are extracted, and 4-6 implants are placed, usually, six implants, which are placed in the upper arch, with four in the lower arch.

The all-on-4 process is a major improvement on traditional implant procedures. These procedures often take six months or more to complete, with extensive recovery time at each step of the process.

Your dentist will discuss alternative treatment options prior to committing to the all-on-4 treatment process.

If you are nervous we can arrange for you to have sedation on the day of your surgergy, to help you relax. An implant-retained bridge can usually be fitted on the same day, once the implants have been placed. Meaning you will then leave the practice with your ‘new smile.

A permanent bridge will then be fitted to the implants in around 6-9 months, following the surgery and when proper bone integration has taken place. Full aftercare advice will be given by our knowledgeable team.
